Canada’s first Michael Kors Men’s is now open at West Edmonton Mall.
“I think men are finally willing to admit that they care about fashion — it’s becoming a part of their culture in a way that it wasn’t before,” says Michael Kors. “We’re at a point where most men aren’t wearing a suit every day, and they’re searching for the balance between weekend and work wear, which makes it a fun time to design men’s clothes.”
Now, the American fashion designer is bringing his wear-anywhere style to Canadian men with the recent opening of an 1,895-square-foot menswear shop inside Alberta’s West Edmonton Mall. “Edmonton felt like the right location for our first Michael Kors Men’s store in Canada, because we have a strong women’s customer base there, and we know the men of Alberta, who tend to appreciate understated luxury, will enjoy our refined but laid-back men’s offerings,” says Kors.
By putting all of his key men’s pieces in one place, Kors wants to make it easier than ever for men to look put-together. Located beside the brand’s bustling Lifestyle shop, the new male-focused boutique offers an assortment of clothing and accessories for him, including sportswear, dress shirts, coats, leather goods, watches and eyewear.
As for the staple pieces Kors believes every stylish Canadian man should own? “A great coat, a cashmere turtleneck, a polished blazer, a classic watch and a leather bomber jacket,” he says.
