The latest fashion retailers to shop now.

A few months ago, we told you about all the buzzy Canadian retail arrivals to know for fall. Since then, even more brands have made their Canadian — and some cases, North American — debut in the GTA just in time for the holiday shopping season. Now, there are even fewer reasons to pay shipping and duties for some of your favourite fashion labels.

The Brand: SEE
Yorkville, Toronto

The Buzz: At the first Canadian location for American optical brand SEE, you can buy European-made sunglasses for just $149 and eyewear from $199, complete with prescription lenses. From neon-coloured sunnies to practical tortoiseshell-pattern readers, SEE offers house-designed glasses with wide appeal and an array of price points.

The Brand: Woolrich
Yorkdale Shopping Centre, Toronto

The Buzz: This American outdoor lifestyle brand, which operates the longest continuously running woolen mill in the US, literally invented the buffalo-check shirt. Woolrich sells everything from parkas to socks these days, but it’s the heritage wool blankets and cool collabs with brands like New Balance that will likely fly off the shelves.

The Brand: MCM
Bloor Street, Toronto

The Buzz: Most of us don’t need an OTT shearling backpack or monogrammed-leather baseball cap, but this German leather accessories brand has an ardent global following thanks to its pairing of urbane design and luxe craftsmanship. Launched in 1976 in Munich, MCM opened its first standalone Canadian store last month on Bloor Street.

The Brand: Corbo Studio
Yorkville, Toronto

The Buzz: Corbo Studio, a cornerstone of the Toronto retail landscape for years, relaunched last month in a new location within Yorkville with a fresh, more contemporary concept. Now helmed by Michelle Lisa, the daughter of Corbo founder Teresa Mazzei, the boutique offers a cool mix of pieces from brands like Norma Kamali and Filippa K.

The Brand: YSL
Square One, Mississauga, Ontario

The Buzz: As YSL Beauty’s first-ever freestanding store in Canada, this pop-up is open only until the end of the year. Stop by for access to limited-edition product, and get free custom engraving on lipsticks, perfumes and Touche Éclat highlighters.
