It’s peak markdown season for all the spring and summer merchandise that’s still in stores. But what makes the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale different is that their discounts of up to 40% off are actually on new, just-arrived fall merchandise that will bounce back up in price on August 6th. The sale starts Friday, July 20th, in stores and online (although in Canada, if you’re a Nordstrom Visa cardholder, you have the chance to shop early for four days this week).
So, is the sale worth checking out? Sure, 40% off is great, but there are significantly higher discounts available elsewhere right now if you’re looking for the best possible discounts, period. That said, because the sale is on newly-landed products, there are plenty of good reasons to at least take a look if you’re in the market for cool-weather pieces and new trends that you’ll want to wear in the fall, seasonally-appropriate back-to-school clothes and footwear for kids, and custom beauty sets offering great value that were created specially for the sale.
