Here are seven retailers making plus size more stylish than ever.
This Canadian fashion staple expanded its size offerings for women last summer, delivering stylish basics and trendy separates at affordable prices. Thanks to the overwhelming success of Woman+, the brand recently launched plus-size activewear, with functional pieces to sweat and lounge in up to sizes 3X and 22.
Premme, the love child of bloggers and fashion editors Gabi Gregg and Nicolette Mason, was created in response to the lack of bold, fashion-forward pieces catering to women over size 12. Since it formed in 2017, the brand has become known for anything-but-basic clothing available up to size 22.
A popular destination for all things plus size, Montreal-based Addition Elle has become widely known for its celebrity collaborations. Through an ongoing partnership with model Ashley Graham — which first hit stores back in 2013 — this retailer brings covetable pieces to the table season after season.
Violeta by Mango
Violeta, a division of Spanish fast-fashion brand Mango, offers a wide variety of apparel and accessories up to size 22. With styles drawn straight from the runway, including eye-catching patterns and standout silhouettes, this is a must-visit destination for on-trend pieces that won’t break the bank.
ASOS’s plus-size section boasts a variety of styles to suit every type of woman. In addition to Curve, their in-house brand which launched in 2010, they also carry Puma, Boohoo Plus, Nike and over 100 other brands to love.
In early 2018, Loft announced their expansion into plus size and added 75 new styles, available in sizes 16 to 26. On offer? Whimsical separates in fun prints and colours, as well as work-appropriate basics like sophisticated trousers and classic button-downs.
When the first eight-piece collection sold out in six days, the two NYC-based friends behind the brand knew they were onto something. Three years later, Universal Standard has become known for its expert fits, easy-to-shop kits and a “Fit Liberty” program, which allows customers who fluctuate in size to return products free of charge.
